Urgent Coronavirus Message

Coronavirus Update - Bromsgrove
A message to the residents of Bromsgrove from the Director of Public Health for Worcestershire, Dr.Kathryn Cobain;

"Today, Bromsgrove has recorded an infection rate of 80 per 100,000 people. The district has the highest rate of infection for Covid-19 in Worcestershire. This is worrying and I am concerned that the numbers of Covid-19 cases in the district, are rising quickly.
This level of infection rate tells us that the virus is in our communities and spreading amongst people. Covid-19 can only spread if it’s passed from person to person, by them having close contact. This also tells us then, that some people are not social distancing, not following the guidelines and are passing the infection to others.
The infection rate puts Bromsgrove in a precarious position. Such a high rate of infection could see the district put on a watch list or considered for further intervention measures. No-one wants to see the district face tougher restrictions as a result of these rising cases, so now is the time to do something about it.
Everywhere you go, as you get on with your life, you are potentially coming into contact with the virus. At the pub, at the school gates, in the office, at the shops, having a coffee. You can protect yourself from it, by social distancing, by wearing a face covering and by washing your hands regularly.
By doing that, you are not just making sure you can get on with your life safely, you are ensuring that you don’t pass on the virus to others who may get really poorly with it. You are doing your bit to keep others safe too.
Bromsgrove does not want to face tougher restrictions or a lockdown. You can help prevent that. You can do your bit, and get these numbers of cases back down.
Please act now. Don’t think the rules are for someone else. Let’s keep the people of Bromsgrove safe.
Thank you “

Mental Health Together

We all experience fluctuations in our mental health and wellbeing, yet many of us still find it hard to speak out openly about this. In the UK around 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health condition each year. Many more of us will experience times when we are feeling anxious, insecure or just trying to cope with the many issues life throws at us.

The ethos of our friendly group is to bring people in the local community “together”; hosting events and activities which encourage open conversations about mental health in a safe, supportive and stigma-free environment, if you’d like to learn more then please click on the icon below
