Church Heritage Open Days Photo Display - UPDATE

The display of photographs in the Church in support of Church Heritage Open Days went very well. We have been asked by Jill Howe to put the following on this the Church page of our website

Senior Section Winners
 1st Pete O'Connor - B/W Old Mill Cottages
2nd Phil Abbott - First Flight, Safe Landing (baby Woodpecker)
3rd Dave Franks - Autumnal Driveway

Junior Section Winners
1st Edward Sellars - Tree Trunk
2nd Lana Withers - Exploring Grandmas Field
3rd Eva? - Stoke Prior Apples

All winners received certificates and prizes varying from a digital camera to family photo shoots at Baileys Photographic.  It was all very well supported and 250 visitors came overall throughout the week and we raised something in the region of 560 pounds from donations alone towards the tower fund.

The village history section was much appreciated by everyone. Lots of members of the community provided interesting historical photos and maps, and newspaper cuttings provided by Joanna Collings caused a lot of interest.  We have already been asked if it can be repeated as it was so popular.

Welcome to St Michael's and All Angels
